Relaxing, empowering, balancing, enlivening… Yoga for Young Ones is a unique, creative movement program that focuses on cooperation over competition. We emphasize imagination and respect not only for Self but also for the beings with whom we share this glorious planet. Yoga is a fun, gentle way for kids to build a lifelong foundation for well being.  It cultivates strong healthy bodies, and an increased ability focus, reflect and relax.  There isn’t a better time to share this healing art with our future!

The YfYO approach is multi-disciplinary, and we’ll explore various ways to share the joys of yoga with kids, incorporating trauma sensitivity, educational theory, games art, storytelling and song as ways to enrich kids’ hatha yoga practice and wellbeing.

Lauren Toolin began teaching yoga to kids in 2000, and her popular Yoga for Young Ones Programs ran throughout Central Mass for many years.  She honed her kids yoga skill set with YogaKids founder Marsh Wenig and Next Generation Yoga founder Jodi Komitor.  She has brought YfYO programs to studios, teacher training programs, at risk youth centers, schools and Girl Scout troops, as well as to her own children, whom she home schooled.   Her kids programs and philosophy have garnered her features in Bay State Parent, Spirit of Change Magazine, Primera Hora (Puerto Rico) and Yoga Journal.
