Ananda Shakti: Reignite your Joy
A Sacred Reset for the Woman You’re Becoming
Feb 27-March 5, 2026 in Western Belize
If you’re a woman who’s done waiting for “someday” and you’re ready to retire your crown of ‘shoulds’ and wear something that feels like joy and freedom, then join us. Return home crowned in bliss, with stories, soul shifts, and a shine that can’t be dimmed.
What to Expect:
A Spirit Tune-Up: You'll remember who you are beneath the to-do lists and hot flashes—and it turns out, she’s kind of a badass.
Joy That Comes from Inside: Daily movement, nature, and ritual will reboot your nervous system so you leave feeling more radiant than a sunrise over the palm trees.
Sacred Sisterhood: You’ll bond with other incredible women who speak your language, get your struggles, and maybe even laugh-snort with you through the healing.
A Mindset Makeover, Jungle-Style: Immersing in another culture and ancient ritual shakes up the mental cobwebs and opens your eyes to new ways of living—on purpose, with pleasure, and maybe even a bit of swagger.

Is This Retreat for You? Yes — if you’re ready to stop settling and start fully living.
This retreat is for the woman who has done everything "right" — the degrees, the career, the family, the responsibilities — and still finds herself wondering: Why do I feel so disconnected? So small? So invisible in my own life?
You’ve hit a moment in midlife where the roles you've mastered no longer light you up — and something deep within is whispering (or roaring), “There’s more for you.”
You’ll Feel Right at Home If You...
Are outwardly successful but secretly feel stuck, numb, or spiritually flat
Want to step out of your comfort zone in a safe, supported way
Are craving deep joy, sensuality, and purpose
Are tired of holding everything together and want to feel held
Want to laugh louder, move freely, cry without apology, and reconnect with your true self
Are ready to reclaim your voice, radiance, and wild soul
How We Help You Reconnect, Heal, and Awaken
Through deep connection with the natural world, where jungle rivers, ancient trees, and wild skies help you remember what is real
Through liberating yoga and embodied practices, designed to move stuck energy, awaken your life force, and bring you fully home to your body
Through guided introspection and ritual, gently uncovering what’s ready to be released and what’s longing to rise
Through meaningful, heart-centered community, where real sisterhood reminds you that you’re not alone — and never were
Through sacred Mayan plant medicine and ceremony, offered with deep reverence and care, to open pathways to healing, insight, and soulful renewal
It’s time to stop shrinking. To stop waiting. To step into your next chapter with clarity, courage, and joy.
This Isn’t an Escape. It’s a Homecoming.

This Adventure Is For You If...
You’ve spent years taking care of everyone else, and now you’re wondering when it’s your turn to feel nourished, inspired, and truly seen.
You’ve accomplished a lot—but inside, you feel disconnected, like you’ve lost touch with the joyful, creative, alive version of yourself.
You’re feeling the shifts of midlife in your body, your priorities, and your energy—and you know it’s time for something deeper than self-help books or quick-fix getaways.
You crave rest, reflection, and renewal—but also meaningful connection, new experiences, and space to just be. No pressure, no performance.
You feel called to break out of routine and into something soulful, expansive, and just unfamiliar enough to wake you back up.
This Retreat Might Not Be For You If...
You’re looking for a luxury resort vacation with umbrella cocktails and bougie room service (this is a jungle sanctuary, not a spa weekend).
You prefer to stay in your comfort zone and aren’t open to trying new practices, perspectives, or ways of being.
You aren’t ready to unplug, slow down, or be without constant Wi-Fi (we’ll have signal, but there's magic in disconnecting).
You’re not interested in self-reflection or group connection— we love a good supportive women’s circle (we go deep, but gently).
You’re hoping for instant answers or someone else to “fix” your life—this retreat is about giving you the space, tools, and support to rediscover your own power.

A Glimpse Into a Day at Ananda Shakti
Bullet Tree Falls, our retreat home, is a peaceful riverside village where nature’s beauty and the wisdom of ancient traditions naturally mirror our journey inward, making it the perfect backdrop for the transformation and joy you’ll uncover. Balance Point Wellness and Mahogany Hall, our retreat bases, are all about letting nature’s beauty and the wisdom of ancient traditions naturally mirror our journey inward—making them the perfect backdrop for the transformation and joy you’ll uncover.
You awaken in a serene jungle suite. Birds sing in the trees and the river sparkles below. On your private veranda, you breathe in the morning air and take a refreshing dip.
After breakfast — tropical fruits, rich Belizean coffee, and creamy yogurt — you gather under the palapa for yoga. The open-air pavilion becomes your temple. With breath and mantra, your inner goddess begins to rise.
Throughout the day, there’s space to:
Rest, journal, reflect or simply be.
Share meals full of vibrant flavor, lovingly prepared to nourish your senses and soul.
Receive jungle spa rituals or float down the river
Connect deeply with nature and new friends
This is Ananda Shakti — a one-of-a-kind women’s retreat woven with yoga, nature, ceremony, and sisterhood. A sacred space for deep self-care, radiant self-love, and the joyful liberation that comes when you truly come home to yourself.

The Cuisine
We are honored to partner with Wild Roots for our catered meals. This is OMG delicious and creative food with local flair! Imagine the scent of fresh herbs and roasted vegetables drifting through the open-air dining space as our chef sets down platters brimming with color. One night it’s a Mediterranean feast of housemade falafel, smoky baba ganoush, and warm pita straight off the griddle. Another evening, it’s Italian night — bright basil pesto tossed with pasta, olive oil infused roasted vegetables, salads that crunch with freshness.
Of course, Belize shines at the center of our table too. You’ll savor traditional dishes like rice and beans, masa-based delicacies, and Seré — a rich coconut-based seafood stew that tastes like comfort and celebration in a single bowl. And then there’s our signature creation: plantain lasagna, a dish so decadent and surprising it’s become a retreat favorite. We can easily accommodate dietary preferences.
Desserts here are never an afterthought. Think creamy cassava pudding, hand-rolled Belizean chocolate truffles. Creative, satisfying and unique - the cuisine will light up your taste buds and your happiness factor!
What You’ll Take Home — The Lasting Benefits
This isn’t just a week in the jungle—it’s a turning point. You’ll return home…
Recharged and radiant, with a body that feels more like yours again—alive, strong, and reawakened through joyful movement, rest, and breath.
Reconnected to your purpose and inner spark, with a renewed sense of clarity about who you are now—and where you might be headed next.
Freed from old patterns. Through nature, ritual, and conscious community, shed what no longer fits and make space for what’s calling you forward.
Inspired by a new rhythm of life—one that prioritizes joy, connection, and soul-led choices. You’ll carry home a toolkit of practices, mindset shifts, and new rituals to keep the magic alive.
Rooted in sisterhood, with real, lasting connections to women who see you, get you, and are walking a similar path.
Changed by the land and its wisdom—with a deeper reverence for nature, the joyful power of ritual, and the deep teachings of Mayan culture that will stay with you long after your suitcase is unpacked.
Why Belize will Steal Your Heart
Belize is where lush jungle meets ancient mystery, and time seems to move at the pace of a slow flowing river. As the only English-speaking country in Central America, it’s effortless to feel at home—especially with the famously warm and welcoming locals. Beneath the easy smiles lies a deep and vibrant Yucatec Maya culture, alive in the flavors of a home-cooked meal, the intricate patterns of handmade crafts, and the awe-inspiring temples that rise from the forest floor. The Cayo District is the 'breadbasket' of the country, and the produce here is some of the best you'll ever encounter.
The super quaint and welcoming village of Bullet Tree Falls cradles you in green hills, the gentle rush of the Mopan River, and the calls of toucans (or howler monkeys!) at dawn. Here, you can wander our jungle trails, delighting in nature, float lazily beneath the dappled shade of ancient trees, or stand atop a Maya pyramid watching the sun ignite the horizon. The tropical climate wraps you in warmth by day and cool breezes by night—a perfect invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and let the magic of Belize sink into your bones.

Your Retreat Leaders
Lauren Toolin: For over 30 years, Lauren has helped people reclaim their vitality and joy — as a master yoga teacher, accredited yoga therapist, holistic life coach, Ayurvedic practitioner, and menopause educator. Her work blends ancient wisdom with modern science to help you feel strong in body, clear in mind, and connected to spirit.
Her passion for this work started very early on, when at the age of 14 (more than 45 years ago!) she found yoga as a way of navigating a tumultuous childhood. Depsite a lengthy stint in the corporate world, she has never lost the spritual connection and strives to live wholeheartedly, with integrity, curiosity and connection. Lauren has been crafting and leading international and domestic retreats since 2006, founded a yoga teacher training school in 2004, and has been teaching and guiding seekers since the mid 90's.
Her transformational work has evolved into life coaching for people looking to weave the practical and spiritual, and most recently educating and supporting women through the menopause years and beyond. She loves entwining Goddess archetypes, yoga psychology and spiritual inspiration into people's every day lives. Her sometimes firey, always loving, teaching transforms! She is a fire keeper and a bit of a spiritual badass. She would love to help you polish up your crown.
Kate Devine: Kate grew up in the British Virgin Islands, spent her high school years in the United States, and completed her degree in Environmental Ecology at Trent University in Canada. Her passion for nature and conservation led her to travel extensively, working with environmental groups around the world before settling in Belize over 25 years ago. She is a certified yoga teacher, licensed massage therapist and health and nutrition coach. She has built a wonderful retreat sanctuary and spa on her property in Bullet Tree. She loves to share with a full heart, inspiring healing through and in the natural world.
Kate and Lauren have been soul sisters for many years and have a magical history! Already friends through the yoga scene in Belize, we, unbeknownst to each other, bought adjoining properties in Bullet Tree in 2008. Recognizing that this was much more than a coincidence, we have been building the dream of offering unique and powerful experiences for yogis and travelers alike. We are thrilled to welcome you into our dream come true!
If you’re ready to write your next chapter — full of connection, adventure, and purpose — we'd love to guide you.
